Rachel Burke

Rachel Burke is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, TV presenter, content maker, speaker and author based in Brisbane, Australia. Rachel has garnered a large instagram following of passionate makers who connect with her unique style and contagious approach to transforming the mundane into the magical.

A self-proclaimed ‘tinsel maven’, Rachel is known for her flamboyant, glittery, highly textured creations. Her effervescent personality is reflected in her art works and content creation having worked on many creative collaborations with numerous brands including Disney, LEGO, Officeworks, Squarespace, Barbie, Visa, West Elm, Sephora, Mecca, My Little Pony, and many more.

Known for her vibrant, tactile designs and iconic tinsel creations, her work is inspired by a love for naive craft materials. With a love for DIY and sharing simple craft hacks, and a passion for curating the world around her, Rachel has styled interior editorials for Airbnb, Real Living Magazine, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Frankie Magazine, and Spotlight, and has had her own home featured with The Design Files, Inside Out, Apartment Therapy, Frankie Spaces, Domain Australia, West Elm, and more. 

Studying musical theatre at The Victorian College of The Arts, Rachel’s love for, and experience with, performance has made her a successful public speaker and digital workshop host. She has presented with Tedx, Creative Mornings, Ladies Wine and Design, LEGO, and has delivered both physical and digital workshop experiences for Disney, The National Gallery of Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Splendour in the Grass, ABC Radio National, and Spotlight (to name some highlights). Rachel has also presented many DIY activities over the years on shows like Better Homes and Gardens, The Morning Show, Get Arty, and In the Mix. 

Rachel has exhibited her work in gallery spaces across Australia, including Saint Cloche Gallery, Hamer Hall, The Australian Centre of the Moving Image, Enough Space, GAFFA, Redlands Art Gallery, and has an upcoming contributing installation at the Museum of Brisbane. 

Her work has been acquired by a fleet of fabulous performers like Miley Cyrus, KESHA, Alia Shawkat, Drew Barrymore, Mindy Kaling, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race Stars Kim Chi, Detox, and Naomi Smalls.
