INTRODUCING

Elise Elliott

Elise Elliott’s media career spans more than twenty-five years across television, radio, print and podcasting. Elise’s experience has given her the journalistic edge to write, host and present across all media formats.

Elise is a rev-head. Her daily drive is an old classic ’68 convertible Mustang V8. Fitting then she is one of Australia’s few women motoring journalists. Elise is co-host of the TV motoring show, Cool Cars, on 7MATE with Season 2 currently in production. Elise also test drives and films online motoring content for car brands including Aston Martin and McLaren. Elise was a presenter on Network Ten’s motoring show WhichCar. and was motoring editor and contributor to ARE Media publications with monthly car columns in both Belle and House&Garden magazines. Elise co-hosts the popular Nine Radio podcast The Elliott Exchange – currently up to episode 76 — with her husband, 3AW Drive radio host Tom Elliott. Elise could be heard on the radio as a regular fill-in host on 3AW’s Afternoons and contributor to 3AW’s The Weekend Break. Elise is a sought after MC hosting several automotive events including the Grand Prix Ford Mach-E launch with Daniel Ricciardo, the Porsche Singer event and the latest Bentley unveiling. Yes here’s a woman who can talk the “torque”!

Elise’s passion for journalism began in 1989 when she was elected editor of the Melbourne University newspaper Farrago. After finishing her Arts degree, Elise completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism at RMIT. In 1993 she was spirited off to Tasmania where she secured her first job in television working as a reporter and newsreader for TasTV, Hobart. Elise’s next move took her deep into the world of politics, moving to Canberra as a political correspondent in the Press Gallery for the Seven Network. In 1998, Elise moved to Sydney and the realm of current affairs to work on Seven’s Today Tonight. Here, Elise also hosted various programs including the late news and Sunrise. She also read the news for Sky News. In 2003 Elise was recruited by the Nine Network to work for A Current Affair based in Melbourne where she stayed for twelve years. During this time she also presented Nine’s evening news service Nightline. For many years Elise was a columnist for the Herald Sun, filing regular opinion pieces and long-format articles for the Weekend Magazine. She has also contributed feature writing for magazines including Vogue.

When not holding a mic you’ll find Elise behind the wheel of her beloved ’68 convertible Mustang… or out on the waves indulging in her latest passion, surfing.
